Drain tile repair · Moncton and southeast NBA wet basement is a warning. Your drain tile is usually why.

Drain tile, also called weeping tile, is a pipe buried around the bottom of your foundation. Its job is to catch groundwater and carry it away before it gets into your basement. When it plugs up or breaks, the water has nowhere to go but in. We find the problem and fix it from the outside, where the water starts.

Out of sight

You never see it. Until the basement floods.

Drain tile sits at the very bottom of your foundation, so you never see it until it stops working. In older homes the pipe is often cracked, crushed, or packed full of silt and roots after decades in the ground.

When that happens, water builds up against your foundation walls with nowhere to drain. It shows up as damp walls, a musty smell, water on the floor after a big rain, or a sump pump that never seems to stop.

What we do

How we handle drain tile repair.

Book my free estimate
  1. We look before we dig

Where we can, we run a camera through your drain tile or flush it out first, so we know exactly where it has failed before any digging starts.

  2. One section or the whole house

If the damage is in one spot, we dig up and replace just that section. If the tile is failing all the way around, we replace it around the whole foundation.

  3. Built tougher than the rest

Most drain tile is thin pipe that crushes and plugs over time, which is why so much of it fails. We rebuild yours with heavy-duty pipe most contractors don't bother with, made to take the weight of the ground for good.

  4. Clean-outs for the future

We bring clean-outs up to the surface, so your drain tile can be checked and flushed anytime without digging. It's built to last the life of your home.

The result

A dry basement you can finish, store things in, and stop worrying about every time it rains.

Let's get started

Straight answers

Good questions to ask.

Anything else? Call the office. A real person will answer.

How do I know it's my drain tile?

If water is getting in low on the walls or where the wall meets the floor, especially after heavy rain or the spring thaw, drain tile is one of the first things to check. We look at the whole picture during your free on-site estimate, including how the ground slopes and where your downspouts drain, because sometimes the fix is simpler than you think.

Do you have to dig up my whole yard?

No. When we can check the tile with a camera first, we only dig where the problem is. We plan the digging with you ahead of time so you know exactly which parts of the yard will be disturbed, and we grade it back when we're done.

What makes your drain tile different?

Most drain tile fails because of what it's made of. Thin, flexible pipe crushes under the weight of the soil and plugs with silt, and old clay tile cracks and lets roots in. We rebuild with heavy-duty pipe most contractors don't use, and we add clean-outs at the surface so it can be flushed out anytime. Do it once, do it right.

Why fix it from the outside?

Because that's where the water comes from. Working from the outside lets us replace the tile, add a membrane to the wall, and slope the ground away from the house, all in one job.
